Long-term Spanish scholarships
The annual promotion of artists in residence includes four Spanish artists selected for long-term fellowships in collaboration with several public institutions in the country. These four one-year residencies, supported respectively by the Diputación Provincial de Zaragoza and the cities of Málaga, Santander, and Valencia, enable creators from these regions to join the artistic community at Casa de Velázquez. Thanks to these partnerships, the Casa is strengthening its presence throughout Spain and encouraging the circulation of artists, ideas, and practices between different cultural scenes.

The production assistance fund
Since 2021, the Casa de Velázquez production assistance fund has been supporting artists from the French Academy in Madrid in the development and implementation of post-residency projects.
This fund aims to support ambitious productions carried out in partnership with external cultural organizations (museums, galleries, publishing houses, festivals, producers, etc.) and to enhance the visibility of both the artists and the Casa on the international art scene.
