The library
With over 160,000 volumes and an extensive collection of periodicals devoted to Iberian cultures, the library is one of the central hubs of daily life at Casa de Velázquez. From Monday to Saturday morning, it welcomes residents and external researchers in an environment conducive to work and discovery.
It is open free of charge to anyone engaged in a research project at master's level or above, and invites everyone to explore the breadth and diversity of its collections.
Support for residents
A multidisciplinary team works alongside residents on a daily basis to support them in their projects and help them broaden their professional prospects.
In addition to this personalized support, the team is responsible for organizing the program and monitoring the projects of the School of Hispanic and Iberian Studies.
Colloquiums, seminars, study days, exhibitions, collaborative projects with the art department... The year of residency is punctuated by highlights aimed at promoting the work carried out within the institution.
