Long-term scholarships at the French Academy in Madrid

The French Academy in Madrid welcomes artists who have been awarded long-term grants in collaboration with Spanish public institutions.
Each year, Casa de Velázquez strengthens its commitment to the Spanish artistic community through a series of long-term fellowships developed in partnership with several public institutions. These collaborations enable artists from Valencia, Zaragoza, Málaga, and Santander to join the annual program for a ten- to eleven-month residency in Madrid.
These programs offer their scholarship recipients a privileged setting in which to carry out their projects: access to a studio, professional guidance, a stimulating international environment, and dedicated financial support. By becoming fully integrated into the artistic life of the French Academy in Madrid, these artists enrich the diversity of approaches and practices present at the Casa de Velázquez, while developing their work in conditions conducive to experimentation and creation.
