International directory of research on slavery

Within the framework of the EURESCL programme (7th PCRD project, Socio-economic and human sciences), the School of Advanced Hispanic and Iberian Studies (Casa de Velázquez, Madrid) offers researchers specialising in slavery in Continental Europe and Mediterranean World a common directory where they can summarise their scientific identities, their institutional affiliation and their present and future lines of research.

This is a tool that will enable them to address the subject of slavery from broader viewpoints, thus facilitating comparative studies. As a resolutely cross-disciplinary endeavour, it is open not only to historians but also to anthropologists, sociologists and philosophers. From a practical point of view, by enlarging working networks it will enhance the possibilities of scientific collaboration. It will be especially helpful for preparing events such as seminars, workshops or conferences, and equally for larger-scale research programmes.
