Academic background

Member of the Casa de Velazquez in 2008-2009. Teaching Assistant and Research at the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallee, he is also a member of CRIAL (EA2052) at the University of Paris III.

Current Research

The features of his thesis on daily life in Havana between 1878 and 1921 led him to trace the evolution of the various island and metropolitan administrative structures and skills to better locate the sources analyzed. Moreover, it was required to work more specifically on the parishes of Havana, as the basic cells of everyday life, and how their role as an interface between the state (and staff) and people Havana . Convinced of the need to rethink the relationship between the Peninsula and Cuba, he is reflecting on the construction of an imperial state beyond the metropolis vs Colony.
