Scholarships for PhD theses
French or foreign doctorate students whose theses are on subjects falling within the guidelines of the École des hautes études hispaniques et ibériques may apply to Casa de Velázquez for a scholarship enabling them to undertake a research visit of one to three months in the Iberian Peninsula, the Maghrib or Latin America. Candidates must be less than forty years old at the deadline date for submission of applications.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic record. The current monthly value of PhD scholarships is 1250 euros.
Post-doctoral scholarships
Casa de Velázquez grants post-doctoral scholarships to enable young French or foreign scientists to go on research visits to the Iberian Peninsula, the Maghrib or Latin America. Such visits may not exceed six months' duration. It is important that the project proposed by the candidate, who must be less than forty years old at the final deadline date for submission of applications, fall within the guidelines set out by l’École des hautes études hispaniques et ibériques. Successful candidates are obliged to take part in the School's activities.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic record. Results of candidatures for a given year will be published and placed on the Internet by Casa de Velázquez in October of the previous year.
The current monthly value of post-doctoral scholarships is 2500 euros.
