Usually given in priority to young researchers and creators, the scholarships at the "Casa de Velázquez" are given monthly for periods between 1 month and 6 months (maximum of 9 months). French candidates and, in some cases foreigners, can apply for them.

        The attribution of scholarships is done in two sessions (spring and fall). The candidates must be less  than 40 years old at the limit date of the dossier presentation for the scholarship.

        The amount of these scholarships raises up to 750 Euros. We remind the candidates that their stay expenses are, without any exemption, at their charge ( the preferential rate being of 7 Euros per day for a room and 2,5 Euros/meal).

        The dossiers have to be sent to the Director of the Casa de Velázquez, before October 15th for candidatures applying for the first session, and before March 31st for the ones applying for the second. The first session corresponds to requests for stays between the months of January and June (included) of the following year.

         Incomplete or late coming dossiers will not be examined.
