There are 13 members in the artistic section. They undertake creative works in Spain in the following subjects: painting, sculpture, engraving, architecture, music, film-making, photography...
Members are recruited for one year, sometimes two. They have a studio at their disposal; their only obligation is to attend to a yearly statutory exhibition after which they have to give to the Institution, one of the works produced during their stay in the "Casa".
The "Casa" also welcomes, for a stay of one year, renewable once, plastic arts scholars assigned and remunerated by the City of Valencia and the "Diputación provincial" of Zaragoza.
Finally, the "Casa" welcomes short-stay scholars for periods between one and six months.
The statutory exhibition is held every year in the month of May; it presents a selection of art works produced during the academic year. They are exposed, in september in the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. During both exhibitions, pieces by "La Casa" compositors are played and films made at "La Casa" are shown.
Other events, organized inside and outside the institution intend to promote the work of one or several members; these concerts and exhibitions are called "Encuentros".
The "Casa" also presents events organized by other organisms. It maintains co-operation relations with Spanish and French institutions whose purpose is to help young creators.
